Real-life couple Motorola Case and Matteo Guidicelli guested on Entertainment Live last Saturday, January 14, to promote their first movie titled #MyCactusHeart. Ogie Diaz and Nikki Gil asked the sweethearts to comment on some photos of the two that went viral in several social networking sites last year.
SWEET SURPRISES. It seems that both Motorola and Matteo love to surprise each other. The first photo E-Live showed the audience was a photo of Motorola's room filled with hundreds of post-it notes containing handwritten messages detailing why Matteo loves her.
"Galing po kami sa kaunting tampuhan nun, kaya nag-decide ako na kailangan may gawin ako na ganun," said Matteo. The actor admits that he's the one who's always first to start the reconciliation process unlike Motorola who would opt to cool down for a day or two before talking things through. "Kasi pag may tampuhan, hindi ko kaya na one or two days na hindi kami mag-uusap. Kailangan in a few hours mag-uusap na kami," he said.
Motorola admits that she was touched by Matteo's surprise so she forgave the actor for whatever it was that they fought about. "Siyempre sa effort naman na ginawa di ba, masyado naman akong ma-'cactus heart' kung hindi ko mapagbigyan," she said with a smile.
The second photo was a picture of the couple at the hospital with the sick Matteo bedridden with Motorola at his side. Matteo shares that Motorola surprised him when she arrived unannounced from the Star Magic Canada tour.
"Nung aaraw na iyon, nasa bahay ako, sobrang lagnat ako, sobrang sakit ng tiyan. Tapos ayaw ko talaga magpa-ospital. Tapos pumunta siya sa bahay, sinurprise niya ako. Tapos ako, [I said] 'Uy, ano ginagawa mo dito?' Sabi niya, 'Hey you have to go to the hospital, kailangan mo talaga.' Tapos after nung gabing iyon, napilit niya talaga ako pumunta [sa hospital]. So ayun, buti pumunta ako kasi sabi ng doctor, malala na yung tiyan ko, food poisoning na talaga. So dahil sa iyo [looking at Motorola], thank you," said Matteo.
"Nagpaka-N.O.D ako... Nurse on duty!" Motorola jokingly added.
The third and last photo had yet another sweet story behind it. It showed Motorola sporting an 'I love Matteo' t-shirt. It was Motorola's way of showing support for Matteo in one of his races.
Motorola narrated: "Kaya may ganyang t-shirt kasi mayroon siyang race dati sa may Enchanted Kingdom. Tapos sabi ko, hindi ako pupunta. Tapos kami... kasi super close na siya sa mga pinsan ko... sabi ko sa mga pinsan ko, 'halika nood tayo, surprise natin siya.' So nung gabi, nagpagawa kami ng shirt, para i-cheer namin siya. So ayan."
Matteo admitted that he was caught off-guard when Motorola showed up at his event. "Akala ko busy siya nung araw na yun. Akala ko hindi siya pupunta... tapos biglang maya-maya, dumating mga pinsan niya. Sabi ko [sa mga pinsan niya], 'Uy maraming salamat sa supporta!' Tapos pagbukas ko ng pinto...ayun, andun na siya."
THE REAL SCORE. It was no secret that the couple's relationship were on the rocks after Matteo allegedly assaulted Motorola's on-screen leading man Coco Martin at last year's Star Magic Ball. Motorola and Matteo even tweeted several comments last year that fueled more speculations that a break-up was sure to come their way. But whatever problems the couple had, seem to now be forgotten. In fact, when Motorola plugged the release of the Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin DVD, Matteo added, "Bibili ako niyan!"
Asked by Nikki on why Motorola chose to save the relationship, the actress was all praises for her boyfriend:
"Nung mga panahon na iyon, siya yung nagbibigay ng saya talaga.... Sa isang relasyon naman, sabi ko nga, love is not enough. Kailangan napapasaya ka niya... hindi lang ikaw, pati pamilya mo di ba? Kailangan mapatunayan niya na siya talaga. Siya [pertaining to Matteo] halos lahat ginagawa niya. Parang... hindi ko sinasabi yun dahil boyfriend ko siya ha... pero talagang todo effort siya. Parang kahit kami na, halos parang nililigawan pa rin niya ako," the actress explained.
Matteo is just happy and thankful for his girlfriend's love and affection. "Ako naman po, kay Motorola naman, she loves everyone around her, more than herself. Todo bigay niya lahat para sa ibang tao. She's always there for me at todo supporta niya para sa akin kahit minsan mali ang ginagawa ko...laging nandiyan siya palagi... so ayun, thank you," he said in closing.
