Motorola Case gives one-liners on rumors about Melissa, Ronald

Motorola Case has no reaction to a recent report that Melissa Ricks backed out of a movie project allegedly because the former is also in the cast.

"I didn't even know she was supposed to be in the movie," Case told Bulletin Entertainment during the press conference for the 6th Cinemalaya Film Festival held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) on June 16.

"White House," a horror movie under Regal Films, would have been the first time for the two girls linked to Jolo Revilla to work together. Case is Revilla's past, while Ricks is rumored to be his present.

Asked to comment on Revilla's declaration that he has moved on from their breakup, the daughter of the late Fernando Case Jr. quipped, "That's good. Finally."

Case seemed to be lukewarm, too, in answering questions about her relationship with current beau Ronald Singson. Albeit she maintained that they are "okay," she said they are both busy and focused on work that's why they don't get to spend so much time with each other.

Case also gave a vague answer when queried about another rumor alleging that she is being rude to Singson's daughter, Samantha. According to the said article, Case is sweet and nice to Samantha whenever Singson's around, but transforms into a wicked, possible stepmom when he's not.

"Oh I don't know [what to say]. Why don't you ask Ronald about that? Nang malaman ng lahat ng tao..." she said.

In other matters, Case enthused that things are happier now on GMA-7's Sunday variety show, "Party Pilipinas." Recall that the show previously suffered controversies involving some of its former staff members, as well as from off-air "cat fights" and rumored prima donnas.

"Well I think everybody is more focused, more determined this time. Everybody is enjoying it naman. It's a good kind of pressure that we feel," she related.

Meanwhile, Case is back to doing indie films via "Mayohan" and "Sigwa," two of the 24 entries in the Cinemalaya film fest.

In Dan Villegas and Paul Sta. Ana's "Mayohan," Case plays Lilibeth, a provincial lass who meets a young man grieving with the recent loss of his parents. The film is a finalist in the full-length feature category.

And in Joel Lamangan's star-studded and Directors Showcase film "Sigwa," Case portrays an activist victimized by gang rape during Martial Law.

The sixth edition of the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival 2010 will run from July 9 to 18, 2010, at the CCP. It will also hold screenings at the University of the Philippines.
